At Van Lanschot Kempen, the Procurement Department falls under the ‘Service Center Purchasing Contract Management & Facilities’. The department consists of two buyers, five contract managers, and one manager for contract management. Together they constitute 6.5 FTE.

Peggy Klingers is the manager for contract management and directs her team of five contract managers. She and her team use VendorLink on a daily basis to analyse procurement spending, inspect contracts, and comply with laws and regulations.

ProRail is responsible for the Dutch rail network: construction, maintenance, management and safety. As an independent party, they distribute the space on the rails, control all train traffic, build and manage stations, build new tracks and maintain existing tracks, turnouts, signals and level crossings. Together with transporters, ProRail commits itself 24/7 to ensuring that passengers and freight reach their destination safely and on time in an efficient and cost-conscious manner – and always with attention to the impact on the environment and on society.

 

Martijn ten Kroode has been working since 2011 as Procurement Manager at Pon’s Automobielhandel in Leusden, The Netherlands, one of the business units of Pon. “At Pon’s Automobielhandel, I am responsible for all procurement besides the cars,” Martijn says. “This includes procuring support services, parts and accessories to ultimately be able to sell cars. For example we spend a great deal of money on media and advertising agencies, IT services and hiring in external staff. In addition, I also coordinate the Pon Procurement Board – a consultative body in which we meet with the various procurement managers of other Pon companies. From this board, we carry out Pon-wide projects with which we bundle our procurement needs and in that way, as a result of the larger volume, increase our purchasing power.”
